“Disparate Youth” is the new release from Santigold, and for some inexplicable reason, I have had it on heavy rotation for a while. There’s something oddly contemplative about it (in the lyrics and title I suppose) which makes it more interesting.

“Myth” is the new Beach House release. I’m really looking forward to their album Bloom which is supposed to drop in May. This song sounds poppier and on the same level of production quality as Teen Dream, so I have high hopes.

“You Know You Like It” is actually one of my new favorite tracks. It’s gorgeous and I haven’t heard anything like it in a while. I can’t decide if it’s R&Bish because I don’t usually care for R&B, or if it’s just plain dance music. It was featured on Mini’s episode in the latest season of Skins. Also, the singer looks like a young Michelle Obama.

M83’s “Midnight City” has been covered by The Knocks, featuring someone named Mandy Lee. One of my friends pointed out that this sounds like it would be played in H&M, which I wholeheartedly agree with. (Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you!) It’s good to dance to.

“Tondi karaa (The White Stone)” by Sidi Touré would be best received by those who appreciate world music, more specifically, songhaï blues. This sounds like something that would be played at the Festival in the Desert, which I really wish I could go to!
